Who Are We? ~ Great question 🙂 . Our story began August 2013, poolside at Spectrum Apartments in Charlotte, NC (well… I was in the hot tub and he was poolside). From the moment Benjamin started smack talking my desire to be in the hot tub during August I knew we would be friends. We were both up to our eyeballs in careers we were passionate about and were not looking for anything romantic, so we became great friends. For 2 years we supported each other through crazy relationships (with obviously the wrong people), the ups and downs of life, and our pursuit of success within our careers. Benjamin was a catastrophe insurance adjuster  and I was the learning and development manager at a furniture company. Benjamin’s job meant that he was gone for up to 3 months at a time traveling the US wherever disaster struck. I was always jealous of his ability to travel and experience new places with every deployment! By August 2015 we both had ah ha moments, and though we hadn’t talked about it yet, we were each having conversations with our bffs about each other. Love struck hard and fast, and once we shared our feelings with each other there was no looking back. Fast forward to June 3rd, 2016 and Benjamin was down on one knee on a lookout at Chincoteague Island with a herd of wild horses in the background. Y’all it could not have been more perfect <3. We were married on the beach in St. Augustine, FL May 20th, 2017. At the time we only had our little Coconut who was very much involved in the wedding 🙂 . Coco is 6lbs of questionable perfection – a mix that I adopted in 2008.

We had both always wanted to travel as much as possible and the travel bug never ceased. The desire to be together and see as much of this earth as possible won – so we waited for the right opportunity to do so. Benjamin received an amazing job offer late fall and we decided to get rid of everything and go for it! After talking about it for a week or so (yes we are crazy), we decided to sell all of our belongings, ditch the house in Charlotte and moved our little family in to a fifth wheel trailer – her name is Stella. Dallas, TX became our home base and we committed to the travel life full time. We now call home wherever our family is – either in a hotel, visiting family, traveling internationally, or staying in Stella. All we need are our pups and each other ❤ .

In January 2018 we expanded our traveling family to 4 when we got our sweet Beausarge boy! He is a Rhodesian Ridgeback, born September 4th, 2017.  Coco makes the rules and he provides the entertainment LOL!! But really… they are quite the pair. Traveling with 2 dogs can be a little challenging at times, but we would not trade it for the world! Our little family of 4 is always up for adventure and ready to go wherever life takes us. We feel so blessed to not only have each other, but also to have this opportunity to see as much of this amazing country (and world!) as possible. Most of our travel will be stateside but we are planning to jump a flight and explore outside of the US anytime it is financially possible and time permits. We do not take the dogs with us when we travel internationally or by plane as we am not comfortable with them traveling in the cargo carrier.

We are citizens of the world and cannot wait to see all that life has in store!
